Thank you for stopping by Wendi's Workbasket – for all things crochet and crafty.
My love of handcrafts comes from my mother and both my grandmothers. They taught me the basics of crochet, knitting, and needlework. Growing up, I also dabbled in various other crafts such as tatting, macramé, woodcarving, candle making, pottery, and making teddy bears. Anything to keep my hands busy!
In 2007, I followed my heart to the United States and while waiting for my Green Card I picked up my crochet hook and once again became 'hooked'.
The focus of Wendi's Workbasket is three-fold: Teaching, Tech-Editing, and Designing.
Teaching
I am certified through the Craft Yarn Council of America as a crochet instructor for both Beginner and Intermediate classes.
Tech-Editing (and Pattern Writing)
Since 2009, I have written and edited nearly 1000 crochet patterns for various clients, and in 2016, I tech-edited a crochet book for a Turkish publisher.
Crochet Designing
My designs are mostly self-published. One of my designs is in the December 2016 issue of Crochet World.
